Watercolor paint comes in two types: Paint Pans the best is Prang Oval 8 pk. And is perfect for the beginner. Then there are Tubes which are more costly and provide lots more pigment. There are beginner packages available. You will need a plastic pallet for the tube variety and we will set it up on day one!! Don’t get ahead and do it yourself.
Watercolor paper comes in all different brands and costs. Don’t cheat yourself with the cheapest or get the most costly. Strathmore (yellow cover) comes in a tablet of 12 sheets #140 and is a great beginning brand.
Round Brush # 10 or #12 Pressure is applied to the base or the tip of the bush. Practice using strokes close together to make a wavy brushstroke. Varying the pressure. Making shapes and lines
Flat Brush can cover more area because of the width of the brush.
Fan Brush releases the paint to create grassy lines
Script Brush #1 narrow bodied and difficult to control “Holding a Pencil “ hand gently pressed on the surface of a table.
Scotch Masking Tape (beige) for taping your paper to cardboard.
9x12 card board probably from the back of your watercolor paper tablet will do.
